Selling an Automobile for the Right Price

Hi guys and gals! Here is a point on selling:
We also have to make sure that we are able to receive the correct amount when we are selling something.
This is crucial! I know it sounds like something, natural, but let me stress, many of you, may people all over the place are not understanding value correctly.

It is very easy to fall prey to one of two things:
the idea of getting a little too much for something;
and, the notion of being perhaps a tad too generous.

As for the first, well, if you are in the habit of trying to get too much, bah, to hell with you! One of the worst things of all is to rip someone else of deliberately and knowingly. Rubbish! I can remember one time not too many years ago when I was looking for a new bed and mattress, and decided to check the local bargain magazine to see if anyone had any good deals on this. Well, one ad caught my eye, because some lad wanted to sell a mattress and bed for 100 bucks.
I thought, hmm, could be something here.
So, I had a friend of mine give me a lift and we went to check it out. Guess, what, the items in question were absolute crapola!
I wanted to be polite, but kept thinking "wow, is this gentleman serious? Unbelievable."
But that was because he had no idea on what his "items" should be worth. You simply don't sell a used and abused coffee stained mattress like that for even two dollars!

So yeah, you have to know what something is worth, and that is why we are smart and witty to check around so as to know what something reasonably should be priced at. If I am going to sell a t.v. that is a bit outdated, am I smart to say, "oh, I don't know, maybe $ 300?" And I'm not meaning hear a year old plasma that cost the buyer initially 2,000 and a year later. I mean out-dated! Frig, I might have to part with the t.v. for 100, or 50, or even 20 bucks...
Then again, some stuff is so out of whack, it ought only to be free or else chucked out.
But they always say, "one man's garbage is another person's treasure..."

Yeah, and someone's treasure might also be garbage ;)

As for the second, well, let's not get ahead of ourselves and get righteously or un-righteously ripped off when we sell something!
If it has to do with a vehicle, we must, must must assess it's worth. Thankfully, there are areas to check this out, and places that act as a good model and middle-man in order for our goods to be comfortably positioned to another.
I remember having a bicycle that was pretty snazzy or whatever back in the day when I biked a whole ton. I was living in a one bedroom and needed some cash fast. That bike cost a few hundred, and I was glad that I got about $12o for it a couple years later when I did sell it. It was a nice thing, but it had to go.
Now, if I had been desperate, I could have let it go for less, but that only would have been a crime to myself.
I had to make sure the bike was intact, and had to make sure the guy who bought it was happy to see he was getting his money's worth.

And for an automobile, well, even more so! Those things are even more the hassle! We need to get a good price, and also make sure we don't rip anyone off.
Especially if they can find us ;)

Jokes aside, find a reasonable price, don't get punked out by anyone.

A Bargain! Don't get ripped off!

When it comes to spending our precious money, now is a more important time than ever to make sure we do not get used and abused.
Anyone ever get ripped off? God knows I have. I even have been ripped off terribly by employers!
I won't name names, but there was a time or two where I worked like a dog and was paid in return very poorly. No more!

We never need to get ripped off when buying products, (or working for that matter, where possible!).
We always need to make sure that when we buy something from a company, not only should they have a very good warranty, but they should be able to boast that you would never even need to ever utilize it in the first place! And if there is a limited warranty due to the nature of something being a used product, we need to find someone who knows about the product to give us a sufficient analysis.
I always say, research everything you want to buy, and when you do see a good bargain: go for it.

So how much more when it is a big purchase!? If you understand, (I'm saying never mind the time when I got ripped off with an air-conditioner not too long ago, [I returned it and had to spend twice the amount to get one that worked, yay, fun] ), you have to be sure that you get your money's worth, and make sure you can return things when necessary. As a side note, I returned that air-conditioner, and laughed when the people at the return counter had posted a whole re-call for the brand name of that product. I said to my wife, "yeah, figures."
Thankfully we were reimbursed on the visa!

Well then, what about a car! Good Lord! That is an investment and a half, especially if you are an average person who just wants a nice machine that works well! It doesn't even need to have the bells and whistles if that's not your thing! never mind a vehicle that costs $100,000 or more and can float on water! Just a good steady vehicle!
We can't get ripped off!

Whether we are buying new or used, we should know our stuff a little. Research a little. Know a thing or two.

My wife and I have a decent car for the city, but probably in about two years or three we will need a new vehicle. We will be checking into things thoroughly, and adding our budget into the mixture as a most prominent factor.

Word to the wise, make sure you can budget, make sure that you don't over-do it. A good auto purchase is almost as important as a good purchase on a home. There is a price to pay, most likely a long-term investment. How many of us are rich?

We have to get the most for our dollars! When it's about buying a car, it has to be a thought-through decision. That is why there has come into place some excellent services in the last years so that we are not getting ourselves ahead of ourselves. There are good dealers that can help us get the most for our hard-earned bucks. Better believe it.

Actually, that has always been the stupidity of the rich: overpricing everything so only a few select people can make a purchase! Rubbish! Then they complain about not getting enough, and they raise the prices again. But they could sell so much more, whilst still providing a good product, that very same one in question.
If things cost less, won't it, by default, sell MORE often? Duh!

So for the average person, for the little guy, there exists some things within reason, so we can get a good deal.
Probably only a handful of times could I honestly say that I got a real good bargain. Some sellers are just decent, some are just trying to get rid of inventory in a jiffy.
When it comes to cars, trucks, vans, (the things that will carry us around and transport our families) we have to make sure we don't get into trouble with anything too cheap (which means too many and concurrent repairs and maintenance), and nor do we want to spend (for most of us it applies!) $1000 bucks a month on a darn vehicle. Lol. My father always used to tell me that when he was young, he was always broke because he put a good chunk of his earnings into his car. "I had to have a car, I had to have a car..."
Learn from the mistakes of others! Don't pay too much, or over-budget! My aunt used to have an SUV and was paying so much for it, she had to get rid of it for a less expensive vehicle. Nothing too wrong with the right sort of SUV I suppose, but, not when a third of your monthly earnings are going towards it!

In short, we need to know a good deal when we see one. They are out there, and not just garage sales!

If anyone is interested, check out some of the bargains available. This is the real deal, and if you can save, you saved yourself.

good luck in all your purchases,

Lee
